To start the 2012-2013 season, DePaul played Moody Bible Institute on Sept 7th, 2012. It was a fun match as DePaul was able to claim the win to start the season 1-0. We would later play Moody again in October but this time, our cross town rival beat us evening our series to one a piece.
Towson made a lot of progress in its second year as an NCDA member. Starting off the season, the tigers lost to University of Maryland 6-0 and James Madison 5-2. Penn State played in their first ever National Tournament, where they also played their first ever games. They showed tremendous growth from game one to four as well.

Sam Hiller [MSU-C-87] [NCDA Chief of Content]The April Baller of the Month is one of the more specialized awards out of the year. Because we choose the BOTM in the middle of the month, it usually falls after Nationals, and thus there is usually a great story behind it.
This April, we celebrate the NCDA’s own Chief of Content, Sam Hiller. The sheer amount of writing this man has done for the NCDA over the past year is enough to warrant the award… but a very special icing on the cake involves MSU making it to the Championship. Continue reading “BOTM: 2013 April”
The Ohio State Buckeyes had a very up and down year, but ultimately finished well as they would reach the National Quarterfinals.

The Kentucky Wildcats had arguably their best season yet, reaching the National Semifinals and hosting the 2013 NCDA National Tournament.

The University of Maryland Terrapins finished their sophomore campaign in the NCDA with a 4-5 record. Their first matches of the year were at the Towson Throwdown, taking down host Towson 6-0 and losing to James Madison 5-2. Despite playing with less than a full 15 men most of the season, CMU was able to go 6-9 with some solid wins.
Before VCU began their first season in the NCDA, VCU played their first ever match against JMU in the spring of 2012. The Rams played 10 v. 15 losing to the Dukes with an unrecorded score. After taking the summer off, VCU got ready for their big entrance into the NCDA.
Kent State went 26-8 on the season, and earned the #1 seed at Nationals 2013 before losing to MSU in the Semifinals.
