It will once again feature the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), the University of Wisconsin Platteville (UWP) and several UWP alumni. The schedule for this Saturday’s event is as follows.
Last Saturday, marked another successful Zanderthon Throw-Down. The teams showed up and came to compete. The talent on these teams is better than every and they will be able to show it off in just over a month’s time. Here are the scores from the weekend.
This weekend mark’s the fifth Zanderthon Throw-Down in its history. One of the best tournaments of the year and one that the Midway conference looks forward to the most. The teams in attendance will be University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), the University of Wisconsin Platteville (UWP), and UWP alumni. Let’s take a look at the schedule for the day!
Last Saturday, February 23, 2019, these teams competed and battled it out at the Zanderthon Throw-Down: Northwestern State University of Louisiana (NSULA), University of Wisconsin Platteville (UWP), DePaul University, and the Alumni. The games went as expected and I think it is safe to say that everyone had a great time! We made new friends and introduced a lot of newcomers to the sport. Below are the scores for the day and a quick recap:
This Saturday, February 23, 2019, marks one of the most coveted tournaments of the semester. No, it is not the Ohio Dodgeball Cup or the Beast, it is the annual Zanderthon Throw-Down, the fourth of its kind. It will be played at the Williams Fieldhouse ( 350 Jay St Platteville, Wisconsin 53818).
The teams in attendance will be your two favorites from the Midway Conference: University of Wisconsin Platteville (UWP) and DePaul. The other team in attendance and making the long trip up to the great state of Wisconsin is Northwestern State University of Louisiana (NSULA). This will be the first team outside the Midway to play in a tournament hosted by Platteville and we are excited to have them.
Also, UWP has an alumni team playing, but as we have said before they are washed up and no one is scared of them, especially Matt Bautch (very weak arm)! Let’s take a look at the schedule for the day:
On Saturday February 24, one of the great tournaments of the semester occurred between two teams, University of Wisconsin- Platteville and University Nebraska- Lincoln. It was another matchup between the Cornhuskers and the Pioneers and UWP got the best of UNL. Here is how the games went overall this weekend.
It’s tournament weekend and although there is the ODC and the Beast we cannot forgot about the Zanderthon Throw-Down 3.0
The most anticipated tournament of the weekend, of course
On Saturday February 24, 2018, two of the top teams in the Midway Conference will go head to head in a double header. This will be the third time that University Wisconsin-Platteville (UWP) and University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) will have played each other and Platteville has got the better of the Cornhuskers each time. The games will be played at the Williams Fieldhouse (350 Jay St Platteville, Wisconsin 53818). We will also be featuring an alumni game against the current UWP varsity crew. The following is the schedule below (UNL vs Alumni if time available). Continue reading “Zanderthon Throw-Down”
On February 25, 2017 DePaul, Platteville, and Alumni competed in the Zanderthon Throw-Down 2. It was a fun filled day that brought about some competitive games. We got to see some familiar faces as well as some new ones on the court. The results of the games are as followed:
Well, it is the most anticipated tournament of this semester. Two great teams, the DePaul Dodgeball Society and Platteville Dodgeball Club will duke it out once again for the sixth time this year on Saturday, February 25, 2017. There will also be some UWP alumni dodgeball players joining the fun that day. I also want to give these alumni a shout out for being a part of and starting the club ten years ago. Your determination to play dodgeball has led to me and others on the team making many new friends from around the country. It should be interesting to see how these games turn out. The games this year have been all over the place from an overtime in Nebraska to a blowout game at DePaul. The last few matches have been more competitive and DePaul is showing that they can hang in there and cause teams problems. With that said let’s take a look at the match ups for the day.
By: Erik Zander and Matt Bautch (both UWP) with Zigmas Maloni in parenthesis for minor additional commentary.
So Saturday, February 20, 2016, three teams came together to battle in the Zanderthon Throw-Down. I would first like to say thanks for the teams that are making Platteville’s first ever real home tournament possible. The teams involved on Feb 20, 2016 at Williams Field House are: Platteville Pioneers, DePaul Dodgeball Society, and Nebraska Cornhuskers.
