Rosen Bowl II Recap

Overview

November 22, 2025 was a big day for the UW-Stout and UW-Eau Claire dodgeball clubs. Stout won its first match in club history, followed it up with another, and successfully held its second home tournament. Eau Claire officially joined the NCDA after a few years of trial matches. Needless to say, the coaches and players on each team were thrilled to hold what may be the birth of a new rivalry as Eau Claire and Menominee are a mere 30-minutes apart.

Rosen Bowl II Preview

This tournament, being hosted on the 22nd of November, 2025, will be a double header between UW-Stout and UW-Eau Claire at UW-Stout (UWEC and UWS respectively). Both teams will have a relatively short reprise from the tournament setting as both teams attended the Pioneer Classic VI just two weeks prior but were unable to play each other. Below is the schedule for the day and a brief preview of each team.

Pioneer Classic VI Recap

November 8th, 2025, UW-Platteville (UWP) hosted the sixth iteration of their Pioneer Classic tournament. It was cold and raining, but it was still a great day for dodgeball. A squad from every central region team except Iowa made their way to Platteville, and UWP invited their Radio Club to commentate again to help reach a broader audience. Pioneer Classic Preview

On November 8th, 2025, UW-Platteville will be hosting one of their two home tournaments, the Pioneer Classic and it will be the sixth iteration. This tournament will be bigger than past years with University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) University of Wisconsin-Stout (UWS) and University of Eau Claire (UWEC) joining the alumni team. In addition to the NCDA games, there will be an official Women’s No-Sting game between UWP A and the UIUC women as well as an unofficial match between UWP B and a mixed team. Below is the schedule for the event followed by what can be expected.

Eau Claire Brawl Recap

September 20th was the day of tournaments across the league. In the Central Region, UW-Platteville (UWP) and UW-Stout (UWS) (and alumni) traveled to UW-Eau Claire (UWEC) for the second annual Eau Claire Brawl tournament. This was the first NCDA tournament of the season for all those who attended, and it allowed the teams’ newbies to test the waters of NCDA dodgeball. All photos included were taken by Richard Laux.

Mark September 20th on your calendars ’cause UW-Eau Claire (UWEC) will be hosting the second annual Eau Claire Brawl tournament. This year the schools expected to attend are UW-Platteville (UWP) and UW-Stout (UWS) as well as several alumni players. Below is the schedule and a brief breakdown of each team who will be in attendance.

Central Region Preview 2025-2026

The Central Region is shaping up to be one of the most exciting landscapes in college dodgeball. Illinois is quickly rising into contention, signaling a shift in power as fellow Big Ten program Nebraska-Lincoln comes down from its reign of dominance. With several prospective schools showing interest and momentum building across the board, the region is expanding at a rapid pace—rivaling even the South as the fastest-growing hotspot in the league.

The annual Zanderthon Throw-Down took place on March 1st at the University of Wisconsin Platteville. This event was between Platteville, Illinois, Stout, Eau Claire and UWP alumni. Let’s take a look at the results and here some thoughts from the day!

Platteville will be hosting the the 9th annual Zanderthon Throw-Down on March 1st. The teams in attendance will be the University of Wisconsin Platteville (UWP), the University of Wisconsin Stout (UWS), University of Wisconsin Eau Claire (UWEC), University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (UIUC), and alumni. This weekend UWEC and Stout will join up to make a team and UWP and UIUC will be doing a double header making it 4 times they will have played each other. Central Region 2024-25 Women’s Mid-Season Spotlight

The first part of the 2024-2025 season has come to an end and it is a great time to reflect and highlight the women of the Central Region and the growth we have seen this year. It is really exciting to see these talented individuals in action and where they might be as players come the end of this season!
