Weekend Recap – Winners & Losers

Anyone who follows college dodgeball closely knows that this past weekend featured a number a great events across the country.  This past Saturday, Penn State hosted James Madison, Maryland, and Towson in an East Coast tourney that would provide more insight into where each of those teams are at.  Also on Saturday, one of college dodgeball’s newest rivalries took place on the campus of Georgia Southern.  UNG and GSU battled it out with a double-header, in the South Region’s first event of the season.  Then, on Sunday, Grand Valley hosted their Gauntlet tournament with every Michigan school (plus Kent State) in attendance.

Nobody in the league takes pictures better than us!

Over the weekend of September 30th, three teams competed at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL), in the Cornhusker Clash. Based on the scores of participating teams, there was no huge upset in Lincoln this year, but not everything went to people’s expectations. The scores go as follows:

Penn State Starts Year Strong

A little overdue, but Penn State came out the big winners in one of the two opening tournaments of the Spring 2017 season.  To recap, PSU finished 3-0, followed by VCU who went 2-1, Ohio who went 1-2-1, and Akron who finished the weekend 0-3.  It was a very competitive tournament, and each game could have gone either way.  Below are some of the takeaways from each team’s performances.
