2019 National Champions – Towson

Towson University Club Dodgeball is the National Champion for the 2019 college dodgeball season. At the conclusion of the 54 match event, the Director of Nationals, Brandon Meisel [GVSU], along with the rest of the National Collegiate Dodgeball Association Executive Board, presented the Championship trophy to Towson on Sunday afternoon.

The 2019 Season included 270 ranked matches across and 32 events, with 39 participating Member Teams. The NCDA has 761 registered members across 28 States as of 2019-04-14.

This is Towson’s first National title, and the first for an East Coast member team. This was the 15th National Championship for Collegiate Dodgeball competition; the NCDA was founded April 9th, 2005.

Towson was the second rated team (52.786) going into Nationals, and was seeded #2 in the Tournament Bracket with a 54.276, behind eventual National Runner Up, Grand Valley State Club Dodgeball. GVSU had a 58.514 rating giving them the #1 seed in the Tournament Bracket.

Towson finishes the 2019 Season with 30 wins and 4 losses, including two losses in overtime.
