As we continue to count down the days until the 2017-18 season, I wanted to take the time to provide updates on the progress made towards Nationals 2018. As Director of Nationals for next season I will put forth the best effort in ensuring we have an event that runs well and continues to improve what is the staple event of the NCDA.
One of the first things I wanted to accomplish was securing group rates at some of the hotels in the area for players, alumni, and fans. This will help guarantee high quality rooms for the NCDA at affordable prices. Below are the details for hotels where we currently have. This list will continue to be updated as more deals are finished.

To put into perspective hotel locations relative to the Siegel Center, I have included this map here for people to see. This map will continue to be updated with more hotels, restaurants, bars/clubs, etc. as we secure more deals in the coming months leading to Nationals. This has been our first Nationals update and I look forward to more big news in the near future!
So… you guys are able to swing a deal with the t-shirts, but teams have to pay twice as much as spending the night in Richmond than in Harrisonburg
These are just available deals with local hotels. Teams are eligible to freely purchase rooms at any location they see fit. Additionally, this is also an ongoing process, and we will be continuing to search for rooms and rates at later times. Richmond is a much bigger area than Harrisonbug and will naturally cost more as a result, but these aren’t just simple motel 6 type places either, these are higher quality places willing to give us guaranteed space over 10 months in advance which is hard to come by. The rooms are also fairly large as well and could realistically fit more than 4 people per room with ease.
We will also be starting the process of searching for sponsors for Nationals in order to drive down costs for the NCDA and will look into assisting with travel and lodging costs. Richmond has a lot of major businesses including 13 Fortune 1000 companies which have sponsored Richmond sports events before. This will help for that search effort and making things affordable.
As rough as it might be to say as well, a $120 rate is very average for US hotels anyways. Given the amenities offered by some as well, this is a fair deal.
