GVSU def CMU 6-1 in the 2018 Championship match.
Grand Valley State University Club Dodgeball is the National Champion for the 2018 college dodgeball season. At the conclusion of the 59 match event, the Director of Nationals, Hunter Ford [VCU, #4-C], along with the rest of the National Collegiate Dodgeball Association Executive Board, presented the Championship trophy to Brandon Meisel, GV Captain on Sunday afternoon.
The 2018 Season included 296 ranked matches across and 37 events, with 39 participating Member Teams. The NCDA has 900 registered members across 27 States as of 2017-04-11.
This is GVSU’s sixth consecutive National title, in addition to being their tenth National title overall. This was the 14th National Championship for Collegiate Dodgeball competition; the NCDA was founded April 9th, 2005.
GVSU was the second rated team (54.638) going into Nationals, and was seeded #2 in the Tournament Bracket with a 55.721, behind eventual National Runner Up, Central Michigan Club Dodgeball. CMU had a 56.905 rating giving them the #1 seed in the Tournament Bracket.
GVSU finishes the 2018 Season with 22 wins and 4 losses, including 1 overtime victory.
