Last weekend at the Grand Valley Gauntlet, three teams went head-to-head: GVSU, MSU, and UWP. They made for some good games and gave us a look at what to expect for the rest of the season. The following were the scores and thoughts from the day:
Last Saturday, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (UWP) went head to head in a double header with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Both games were highly competitive and both sides showcased their talent. In the end, Platteville was able to take the wins in both matches. The scores were UWP def UNL 3-2 and UWP def UNL 4-2. Here are my thoughts and what some of the players had to say about the day.
Finally, dodgeball is back for the Midway Conference and it kicks off with a double header! For the second year in a row, the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL) and the University of Wisconsin Platteville (UWP) will go head to head at the Nebraska Coliseum. It should be a good match up for both teams as both are still very young and have a lot to learn. Let’s take a look at the schedule:
Last Saturday, August 10, the Platteville Dodgeball Club hosted the first annual Tim Ebert Memorial Dodgeball tournament. In total, there were eight teams that competed in the round robin tournament followed by an elimination bracket.

Below are the scores for the day and a quick recap:
This Saturday, February 23, 2019, marks one of the most coveted tournaments of the semester. No, it is not the Ohio Dodgeball Cup or the Beast, it is the annual Zanderthon Throw-Down, the fourth of its kind. It will be played at the Williams Fieldhouse ( 350 Jay St Platteville, Wisconsin 53818).
The teams in attendance will be your two favorites from the Midway Conference: University of Wisconsin Platteville (UWP) and DePaul. The other team in attendance and making the long trip up to the great state of Wisconsin is Northwestern State University of Louisiana (NSULA). This will be the first team outside the Midway to play in a tournament hosted by Platteville and we are excited to have them.
Also, UWP has an alumni team playing, but as we have said before they are washed up and no one is scared of them, especially Matt Bautch (very weak arm)! Let’s take a look at the schedule for the day:

The National Collegiate Dodgeball Association exists to facilitate collegiate dodgeball. It allows for individuals to make connections and friends across the country. We are dedicated to providing the best experience possible to make this happen. That is why the League developed various programs such as our Scholarship Fund, Officiating Fund, and our Recruitment and Retention Fund.
To keep with our goals of betterment of the league, we are asking for your support. Help the NCDA raise money for our every day expenses. Your continued support is appreciated and will continue to grow the league. Below is more detail on what is involved with the various funds listed above.
Scholarship Fund The NCDA believes in development of our student-athletes education so we created an internship program that could help provide individuals with the opportunity to use and refine their skills in a business/organizational setting. Upon completion of the internship and for their work to the league, the individual receives the Tim Ebert Memorial Scholarship. Tim was a former player for the University of Wisconsin Platteville Dodgeball Club who made an impact not only on the court, but off as well.
Officiating Fund The purpose of this is to provide funds that will not only go towards paying for referees at nationals, but other tournaments too. Some other items this fund will help with is the purchasing of referee shirts, whistles, and pinny shirts (for ball retrievers). This will help to increase the participation and quality of refereeing, overall providing a better experience to participants.
Recruitment and Retention Fund The purpose of this is to provide funds to help us recruit and retain teams to the league. It helps us to maintain our league ambassador program. The funds that go towards this program, help our ambassadors be able to travel to local teams to help out at practices as well as attending involvement fairs to recruit new teams. This fund will also go towards dodgeball care packages that will help every new team be successful in their development.
When you click on the Donate on PayPal button below, there are two options that you can choose from. An individual may select pay with PayPal account or select pay with debit or credit card. Please indicate in the notes section of the payment the fund that the donation will be going towards.
If you wish to donate via another method such as cash/check, please email us at email@example.com.
