Season Preview: The Towson Tigers look poised to be a looming threat within the NCDA once again.  With a strong recruiting class and some surprise returns, there’s a lot of positives with this team coming into the 2018-19 season.

The Good News: Towson is in a comfortable position with their program where it’s more of a matter of “reload” than “recover”.  This was evident last season, as the team performed well despite some big name losses along with picking up some potential stars in the making.  Towson also does a good job of travelling consistently and getting plenty of games under their belts against a variety of opponents and it will probably happen again this season.

The Bad News: The Tigers still have a problem performing in big games on a consistent basis, and even more so in overtime games.  It’s a problem they haven’t been able to shake for a couple seasons and it’s hard to say anything will change unless they show it on the court.

Our Call: Towson will once again be considered a dark horse Final Four team and should be primed for another solid year, staying within the top 8 teams all season long.
