Alright everyone if you are reading this let me say welcome to my first attempt at blogging a live event. I am here at Kent State with CMU, MSU, SVSU, and UK visiting the host school for an all day dodgeball affair. I am here to get the scores of the matches to you as quickly as possibly, while helping ref, do shot clock, and other things. If you want to keep up with me please bear with me if I take a while to get scores up, I am not sure how long these games will take. Other than that, here we go!
First Matches of the day:
CMU v. MSU: 4-1, CMU-W. MSU-L. In the first match of the day CMU looked like a complete team. No longer just a group of catchers, the Chips fought hard to take this victory. Even though the score makes it seem like they got dominated, Michigan State made every match as tight as they could.
SVSU v. UK: 4-0, SVSU-W, UK-L. Unfortunately, I did not get to watch this as I was reffing MSU v. CMU. UK is down a large chunk of starters, including Wes Hopkins. Saginaw started off fast and never looked back, not allowing a single point.
Second round:
Kent def MSU 2-1
CMU def UK 5-1
Third round:
Kent def CMU 5-0
SVSU def MSU 3-0
Fourth round:
Kent def SVSU 2-1
UK def MSU 2-3 (OT)
Fifth round:
Kent def UK 1-0 (Forfiet, UK leaves early)
SVSU def CMU 4-0
Final records:
Kent: 4-0
SVSU: 3-1
CMU: 2-2
UK: 1-3
MSU: 0-4-1
Impressed by what Kent State did. Hopefully we get to see the game tape. They’ve been a top team for the past 2 years. I hope they make the finals this year. Keep it up Golden Flashes.
