**This is just an opinion piece and a proposal, this is not going into effect until this idea has been discussed more thoroughly among the NCDA Executive Board and the Member Teams**
This is just my humble opinion for the idea of developing conferences within the NCDA.
I believe the idea of moving toward hosting conference championships would be a step in the right direction for the NCDA. These conferences don’t necessarily have to mean anything at all, other than when it comes time to having the conference tournament in the spring each year. For the time being, these conference championship tournaments could act in the same way as the MDC and ODC, they are just an excuse for people to get together to play dodgeball and win a trophy, but they have no extra bearing on the records. It would give the teams the opportunity to compete for bragging rights and another trophy.
These conferences will be fluid and can be adjusted year-to-year. During the conference championship tournaments, schools outside of the conference are not eligible to participate.
