Office of President:

Dylan Fettig (GVSU Alum) – I am running for the position of President of the NCDA because I believe my education, experiences, and passion for the organization allow me to be the best candidate for this position. For anyone who does not know me, I am a new alumni from Grand Valley where I played in the league for 6 years. I have been a part of the leadership of Grand Valley’s team since my sophomore year, serving as the vice president for one year, president for two years and as an assistant captain for three years. During my time as the president of the club we rewrote the club’s entire constitution and the final product has been used as the model for other club sports’ constitutions at Grand Valley. I currently serve as the Director of League Expansion for the NCDA and still have one more year left on my term. Although I do enjoy the position that I hold now, I believe that my education better suits me for the President position. I just graduated with a master’s degree in Public Administration, where I spent the last two years learning about how to run nonprofit organizations. As President, I plan on using the information I have learned to improve the organization and performance of the executive board and to help grow our league. Leading organizations and the sport of Dodgeball are my two main passions in life, I am looking forward to being able to combine the two to help expand and improve the NCDA.

Felix Perrone (WKU Alum) – I am running for President of the NCDA because I want to see the league continue to move in the right direction. Since I joined the league as a player back in 2008, I have always tried to be as involved as possible in legitimizing the organization. For those of you who do not know me, I attended Western Kentucky University from 2008-2014 for both undergraduate and graduate school. I acted as Assistant Captain/VP of the WKU Dodgeball Club from 2009-2010, Captain/President from 2010-2012, and Assistant Captain/Advisor from 2012-2014. I have held several roles with the NCDA including League Expansion Officer (unofficial title deemed upon me by Josh Raymer) from 2009-2013, Director of Nationals for 2011 NCDA Nationals, Rulebook Editing staff member 2013-2015, and Treasurer 2013-now. I completed the paperwork to allow the NCDA to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in November 2014, after months of research and due diligence. I want the organization to continue to grow and become more prominent on college campuses nation-wide. I am willing to put in the work and the effort needed to complete this task along with the other members of the NCDA Executive Board. Dodgeball has been a huge part of my life since my freshman year of high school, and I cannot image my life without it. I’ve reached that point where I’m even okay with not playing anymore, I just want to make sure the current members of the NCDA have as amazing an experience as I did. If that means doing the dirty work so they can enjoy the game, then I am happy to do it. This league changed my life, and I am eager to continue to give back ☺

Cheers,

Felix Perrone

Office of Treasurer:

Mike McNicholas (DePaul Alum) – Hi all! Some of you may not know me, but my name is Mike McNicholas, and I am running for Treasurer of the NCDA.  I am a recent alumnus of DePaul Dodgeball, having been treasurer of the club.  I graduated with a degree in Accountancy here at DePaul, and as of August, I will be working as an auditor, where I will be auditing almost exclusively Not-For-Profits, and Higher Education.  With my accounting degree, as well as the experience I will quickly obtain at my new job, I feel I will be a great fit to serve as Treasurer of the NCDA.  Being located in Chicago, I feel I am at a central location to many of the member teams of the NCDA, and will do my all to attend league events over the course of the term as officer.  I want to help continue to grow the NCDA, and ensure that the league has the necessary funds to promote our great sport, as well as ensure the NCDA complies with all the rules and laws governing 501(c)(3) organizations.  Additionally, with a seat on the executive board, I would ensure to cast my vote on all issues from a financial perspective, as well as with the voice of the members, past or current, of the league.  If you have any questions about my bid for treasurer, or if you would like to hear more of why you should choose me as Treasurer before you cast your ballot, feel free to reach out to me.
Thank you for your consideration.

Felix Perrone (WKU Alum) – I am also running for Treasurer of the NCDA because I want to see the league continue to move in the right direction. Director of Community Relations:

Chris Hess (JMU Alum) – When I stepped onto campus as a freshman at James Madison, I never thought that I would have brought such a successful club sport, let alone Dodgeball, to the university. With all of the foreground scenes of strategy on the court, and the background of managing a 75 member team, running the multiple facets of a club sport required a lot of dedication and hard work as President and Founder of JMU Dodgeball. That same emotion still exists today as I seek the position of Director of Community Relations for the NCDA. I owe it to myself, my Alma Mater, and this league to harness the efforts I had in the past and utilize them in a unique and exciting opportunity that the NCDA presents to me. The Community Relations role will allow me to network with other teams in the league; not only to create a stronger brethren within the current league and alumni base, but to reach out to their respective communities that their universities represent and make an impact in an outlet that the average college student doesn’t normally get to be a part of.

Director of Officiating:

Zigmas Maloni (DePaul Alum) – Hello! For these past few years it has been a pleasure playing with and serving the NCDA. Simply put, I would like to continue to contribute my time and expertise. We’ve made great strides in becoming the premier Collegiate Dodgeball organization, and I believe each Director has a responsibility to continue on and further improve the League.

The direct responsibilities of the Director of Officiating include the primary things I’ve been doing for the NCDA for the past 4-5 years. Starting in September 2010, I’ve rewritten and contributed to NCDA Rulebooks, published complete and accurate event records for the entirety of the League, and strived to promote quality Officiating in dodgeball. I hope I can continue to serve the NCDA as Director of Officiating.

Thanks,
Zigmas Maloni

Colin O’Brien (MSU) – I believe I am qualified to hold the office of Director of Officiating for several reasons. I am entering my fourth year as a member of the NCDA. I have only become a more and more active member in the league as time has passed. I read the entire rulebook after my second practice as a freshman. I started really commenting on discussions about the rules and league as a whole the next year and only continued to do so this past year. Thus, as an active voice in the league, I have a good idea about ideas and issues that can both help and hurt the league along the lines of the rulebook. Furthermore, as an active player who also referees, I understand both sides of the equation. I know the frustration of a player when a call is believed to be made incorrectly and I know how difficult it is to ref in certain situations. This understanding of both sides is critical to the management of the officiating staff. I would have the knowledge and experience to ensure that the officials are mindful of certain aspects of the rules that may sometimes be overlooked. Finally, this past year I worked with Zig in looking at the different ranking formulas and standings. That experience gave me the understanding needed to properly maintain the records. I deeply care about this league, and my participation in it has only increased the last three years. I think becoming a member of the Executive Board is the next step in my involvement.
