With plenty of match-ups across the country, this weekend should be a solid one for the NCDA. With a round robin at James Madison, a round robin at Miami, and a rivalry game between GVSU and MSU, there is dodgeball all across the NCDA going down. Two historic programs collide as the #3 Michigan State Spartans (7-1-0) and the #6 Grand Valley State Lakers (3-1-0) will play a match December 2nd at the Grand Valley Fieldhouse Arena. Expect a great atmosphere as the Lakers try to stay unbeaten all-time against the Spartans, but this game should be a close one.
Part two of the AJP’s 23rd episode discussing the teams that have shined the most during the first two months of the season, as well as issues including refereeing, sportsmanship, a governing body, and rankings.

LEXINGTON – Alumni Gym: UK goes 3-0, Kent 2-1, WKU 1-2 and Miami 0-3 in the 2012 UK Invitational on November 10th. University of Kentucky Dodgeball hosted Kent State, Miami University and Western Kentucky University.
The winner of Last Man Standing was UK’s Wes Hopkins. Game records and accounts from team captains in attendance, after the jump.
Hosts Mike Van Ermen and Sam Hiller recap the BGSU Invite, the Maryland Invite, the Battle of the Brown Line IV, UK/WKU, the MSU Invite, and the Battle of the Valleys.

The only dodgeball on the slate for the weekend, the Kentucky Invite (formerly known as the Kentucky Classic) has had many good matches in its history, and has been a proving ground for teams in the past. Beginning their season 1-1-0, playing both their games against “rival” Depaul, the Archers are looking towards building off their successful 2011-2012 season, in which they were the #1 team in the Illinois region. Currently ranked tied for #9, Moody Bible Institute are now playing their first regular season matches outside of the state of Illinois next weekend at the MSU Invite.
