Scholarship Award 2024

On September 7th, the Dodgeball Club at UW-Platteville hosted the annual Tim Ebert Memorial tournament. Tim was a player on the UWP team that made a huge impact and with the scholarship in his name he will continue to make an impact. This event was able to raise $1,000 and with that amount raised, we will be offering two scholarships. One will go to a current player on the Platteville Dodgeball Club and another to an individual around the league.

The selection committee received applications from players and came up with the following winners to receive this scholarship. The application asked individuals to explain their community involvement at home, their team, and the league as whole. The committee was looking for leadership skills, a willingness to help others, and further involvement in making the league a better place for current and future players. Let’s take a look at this year’s winners below!

Our first winner has been a part of the University of Wisconsin Platteville Dodgeball Club for 4 years and is in his senior year. He has been in a role of leadership for 3 of those years as vice president, president, and currently captain. Nick is always working to improve his game and being example to the younger classmen on how to act and what is expected to be successful. We congratulate Nicholas Stocks as one of the winners of the scholarship!

The second winner has also been a part of his club for 4 years and has been in a position of leadership since his second semester at Saginaw Valley State University. Cole has been one of the top players on his team each year and is always a challenging out to get. We congratulate Cole Machiela as one of the winners of the scholarship!

We appreciate all the applications that we received and are excited to once again to be able to continue to provide this scholarship to continue to help individuals achieve their educational goals!

  1. Congratulations to both recipients. I hope you have dodge ball in your hearts in the same way our son Timmy did. Good luck in your futures and find strength in your faith family and teammates.
