Policy Proposal – Remove Executive Board Override

Cross Post: Captains’ Club

Written by Kenny Mize:

Removing the E-board override. And going to a strict majority vote 1 team 1 vote and the eboard gets to only spilt ties. No overrides.

Reasoning:

We all know about the clean blocking rule that was passed this past year. What concerns me on this is that 65% of the league can be against a certain issue going through but as long as 35% like it and the eboard then the rule can pass. With having a simple majority it allows for the majority of the league to play how we want to play and how the league runs. There is constantly an influx of new ideas and proposals, having the ability to go against up too 65% of the league is not something I see appropriate.

Arguments I see against it:

The league doesn’t always know what’s best for the league.

New teams and captains aren’t always as educated as the longer tenured ones.
