Western Michigan Wins Nationals 2022 Selection

Kalamazoo, MI – After a 6-2 decision by the NCDA Executive Board, Western Michigan University has been selected as the host school for Nationals 2022. The school will be able to provide 6 courts between April 9-10th. It is the school’s first time hosting Nationals and Peter Broe will become the new Director of Nationals. Congratulations to the Broncos!

How Towson Did It

3-26. My career record against Grand Valley State University is 3-26. So I know pretty well how easy it is to lose to GVSU. And I also know just how hard it is to beat them. That’s why I am so impressed with what Towson was able to accomplish last Sunday. To beat GV is no small feat. To beat a previously undefeated GV in the National Championship on their home court is almost unfathomable. Towson was able to take home the championship trophy with an outstanding gameplan, incredible execution, and a little bit of luck.

East Coast Nationals Preview

The East Coast had a strong showing this year and will look to make a splash at Nationals. Since each East Coast team played a schedule filled with mostly other East Coast teams, we got a lucky draw with only one inter-East matchup on Saturday. However, it’s not all good news for the East when it comes to Nationals. JMU, UVA, and WVU will not be making the trip, which is a huge blow to the East Coast and league in general. Anyways, here’s the preview for the Towson, VCU, PSU, and UMD for Nationals 2019.

Nationals 2019 Location

After much deliberation, the National Collegiate Dodgeball Association’s Executive Board has come to a decision on which school will have the privilege of hosting the 2019 NCDA National Championship Tournament:

The Dodgeball Club at Grand Valley State University will play host for Nationals 2019 in Allendale, Michigan on April 13-14, 2019.

The NCDA Executive Board would like to thank each of the schools that provided a Nationals bid for the time and effort they put in.  It was a tough decision, and we felt comfortable with everything brought forth by all member teams that were interested in hosting.  With that said, we are more than excited to bring Nationals back to GVSU on the 10-year anniversary of the last time the Lakers hosted the season’s final tournament back in 2009!

Nationals Host Considerations

School is out, and it’s warm outside so you know that means voting for the host school of the NCDA Nationals 2019 is coming soon. As a board, we would like to send out some suggestions for you to take into consideration when making your decision.  Continue reading “Nationals Host Considerations”
