NCDA Partners with Save The Children

Thanks to a new partnership with The National Collegiate Dodgeball Association (NCDA) and Save the Children, a day of friendly competition can help change the world.

This new collaboration will bring together fun and fundraising to help support Save the Children, which gives children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm both in the United States and around the word.

This season the NCDA will host two Save the Children events, which are scheduled for fall 2017 and spring 2018.

The fall event will be a weekend fundraiser at various NCDA schools. Teams will be competing off the court during the month of October to see who can raise the most money for Save the Children. Teams can be creative with their fundraising efforts and are able to raise money however they’d like. Some examples of fundraisers include hosting an NCDA tournament, running a club recruitment tournament, or even non-dodgeball related activities like a carwash.

Standings will be tracked online, with each team having their own Save the Children fundraising page. The team that wins the fall event will receive a philanthropy award from the NCDA and earn swag from Save the Children.

The spring event will be a two-month long campaign. Teams will do whatever it takes to raise money to help Save the Children do whatever it takes to reach every last child. The team that scores the highest total will receive all of the same perks as the winner of the fall event, and will also have their entry fee waived for the NCDA Nationals 2018 in Richmond, VA at Virginia Commonwealth University.
