The three Captains all had great tournaments in their last time donning the Spartan jersey in a tournament, with Bauer leading the charge on offense, Miller playing an all-around transition game, and Hiller getting some timely catches. Their combined 13 years of service to the program helped the team grow into what it is today.
Kevin is preparing for his final tournament with the Spartans, Nationals 2013, and he was on form last night in practice, accumulating tons of catches and kills despite playing on a hurt ankle.
MSU’s Thomas Rex is a great catcher and is good on the opening rush. He’s a ball magnet and they will need him if they want to win Nationals 2013 in Kentucky.
Colin was named the Assistant Captain for the Spartans’ tournament this weekend at Bowling Green, and is the first freshman in at least the last five years to serve as an AC for MSU. He has been an energy spark for State, and has played well.
Josh is nursing a sprained ankle currently, but he has a crucial part to play for the Spartans this year. He’s one of their best throwers, and brings energy and swagger to a team in need of some. Watch for Josh to be a critical playmaker for MSU at Nationals.
Alex played well and is developing into a solid player for Michigan State. He has a good cross and can catch most of the Spartans in practice, and had a good showing at the Michigan Dodgeball Cup. Watch for him to continue growing into a good role player for State for the end of this season and next season.
Zach is an Assistant Captain for the Spartans, and is in his fourth year. Following some great play at the MDC, Bauer has played well in practice with his power arm and catching. His fiery passion for the game helps fuel the Spartans to victory.
Charlie rejoined the team after the winter break, and has paid immediate dividends for the Spartans as a dedicated player. He has a powerful cross, and is possibly the best dodger on the team.
John, #12 for the Spartans, is turning into one of the clutchest players on the team. He can make a timely kill or a big time catch when needed to, and is a go to guy when the game is on the line.
Jake Billhorn is one of the most dedicated dodgeball players to the team, at nearly every practice, and played great at the Chicago Dodgeball Open, making several clutch catches for the Spartans.
