Last season Michigan State ended the regular season ranked second in the country behind only Central Michigan, who went on to win the National Championship. MSU played 14 games last season, but this season they played 15, good for second in the country for most games played. This means in the last two seasons the Spartans have played 29 games, which is tied for the most in the country with Kent State.
