{"id":3560,"date":"2025-12-10T23:37:45","date_gmt":"2025-12-11T05:37:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncdadodgeball.com\/uwp\/?p=3560"},"modified":"2025-12-10T23:37:47","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T05:37:47","slug":"dr-peter-broe-classic-iv-recap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncdadodgeball.com\/uwp\/2025\/12\/10\/dr-peter-broe-classic-iv-recap\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Peter Broe Classic IV Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Written by Maisie Montemurno<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UW-Platteville traveled to Western Michigan University\u00a0in Kalamazoo, Michigan\u00a0to compete in the Dr.\u00a0Peter Broe Classic IV\u00a0on November 23<sup>rd<\/sup>.\u00a0Seven\u00a0teams competed\u00a0in Dr. Peter Broe Classic; University of Akron (Akron), Cleveland State University (CSU), Central Michigan University (CMU), Western Michigan State University (WMU), Grand Valley State University (GVSU), Michigan State University (MSU), and University of Wisconsin Platteville (UWP).\u00a0The Pioneers would compete in three matches\u00a0in this tournament.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MSU Vs UWP (11-0)<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first match of the day, the Pioneers faced Michigan State University.\u00a0Ranked #4, MSU\u00a0faced #23 UWP, The Pioneers knew this match was going to be\u00a0very challenging. The first point started off with MSU getting ball control\u00a0and leading them to win first point.\u00a0MSU would continue to dominate and would end the first half\u00a0with seven points.\u00a0During\u00a0the second\u00a0half, the Pioneers only\u00a0conceded four points. In the\u00a0end,\u00a0Akron would secure\u00a0the first\u00a0point.\u00a0Akron would continue working as\u00a0a\u00a0team\u00a0and would end the first half up by four points.\u00a0Off the start of\u00a0second\u00a0half, Akron would take their\u00a05<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0point. However, UWP\u00a0wouldn\u2019t\u00a0go down without a fight and would take the next two points.
