The Rookie of the Month award is an award given monthly to a player voted on by their teammates to recognize all the hard work they have put into the team throughout the month. This month’s recipient is junior Kate Douglas. Here’s what she had to say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. How do you feel about being voted ROTM?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I feel very proud of myself for making an impact on my teammates and to be voted ROTM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. How are you planning on continuing your work? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I plan on continuing to attend practices and skills sessions when I can, and I hope the team can schedule more hang outs in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. What are your goals for the remainder of the season? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I aim to head to nationals on a confident foot much like I had at the spring home tournament.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. How have you felt about the season so far? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This season has been a journey of figuring out my limits as a player and figuring out how to play the game the best I can.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Anything else you’d like to tell the readers?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope my growth and improvements have been noticeable because I feel like a better player compared to when I started. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
