Rookie of the Year Josh Zauche

Josh Zauche is our Rookie of the Year for the past dodgeball season. Josh is a good defensive player that just makes plays. Josh made multiple incredible catches over the season. Josh was an all-around defensive force on the court. Josh’s play put him as a middle tier player during his first season and he is a budding star that could be a dominant force in the future.  He balled out during the first day of nationals making diving catches. Josh is one of the main reasons why UWP had an incredible first day at nationals. He has a developing arm that will make him a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming years. Here are Josh’s thoughts on winning this award.   

Q: How does it feel to win this award?

A: It feels good there was a lot of competition for this award.

Q: What are you looking forward to for the team next year?

A: I’m excited to see how the team takes how well we played at nationals to the next level.

Q:   What is your dream car, hobby or ect.?  

A: My dream job is designing kitchen appliances.

Q: What is your favorite memory and part of dodgeball?

A: My favorite memory is when Jared and I one v one’d each other and he caught the ball with his gonads.

Q:  What is your favorite college memory so far? 

A: The night before our Nebraska Tournament was a blast.

Q: If you could change your name to anything, what would it be?

A: I most likely would not change my name.

Q: If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

A: I would go to Australia to experience the difference in environment and culture with the comfort of English.

Q: What is your favorite song, movie, or ect.? 

A: My favorite song of all time is Handlebars by Flobots.
