Baller of the Month April – Austin Kurey

Ladies and gentlemen, I know that you all have been waiting on the edges of your seats for April’s Baller of the Moth, so I will not keep anyone waiting any longer. This month’s baller is none other than Austin Kurey.  Austin is a fourth-year business management major who’s been in the dodgeball club each year. He plans on graduating in May 2023, so he still has one more national’s tournament before leaving the club. Besides playing dodgeball, Austin thoroughly enjoys watching the Packers.

1. What was your first reaction to being elected baller of the month?

My first reaction was pure shock. I really wasn’t prepared for it.

2. What was your second reaction??

My second reaction was gratitude, as I was not expecting to win it. I would like to thank my teammates for bestowing this upon me.

3. What are your overall thoughts on how the season went?

Obviously, I hoped that we would have made it further than we did at nationals, however we did do a great job showing everyone that we can really compete and will be a force next season.

4. How are you going to train for the next season?

I’m going to train similar to most every other collegiate dodgeball player, by working out, going to the Gym, and lifting 12 ouncers.

5. If you were to design a new logo for the Dodgeball Club, what would it look like?

Obviously, our logo now is great, but if I could improve upon that one, I would somehow like to incorporate Erik Zander into the logo, as he is crucial to our club.

6. Is there anything else you would like to share?

Make sure to have fun and Go Pack Go
