Fall Home Tournament – UNL vs UWP

Despite the difficulty of organizing competitions with other teams this year, UW-Platteville was thrilled to have UNL (University of Nebraska-Lincoln) participate in a tournament at home. Both UNL and UWP have been rivals for a long time, and this tournament was no exception. UNL won both games, defeating UWP 4-1 the first game, and 3-2 the second. UWP was also thrilled to have several Alumni come back for games against both UWP and UNL.

All in all, the tournament was a hit. It was a great first tournament for the new players, as well as a great time for the more seasoned players to brush the dust off. Although we were not able to win either games, we greatly appreciate UNL making the trip and hope that they had fun. See below for some photos and videos of the tournament.

Casey Mack (Secretary) – Even though we were a team with lots of newer players, we did really well against the disciplined veterans of UNL. Of course we still have lots of work to do, but by nationals, we have the potential to have a powerful team!
